Matthew Luongo is a native Buffalonian who developed a passion for food and drink at a young age. As a sophomore in high school, he started one of Buffalo’s earliest food blogs, Cooking in WNY, and has since gone on to eat his way through a multitude of cities in both the US and across Europe. An avid cook, Matthew utilizes his experiences in these cities, along with years spent in his home kitchen, to create new recipes with a focus on locally grown food. While writing for MCL Squared, he hopes to connect global and local trends and share what he has learned with people from Buffalo and abroad. Matthew is currently working at an advisory firm in Manhattan, having graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in International Affairs and Government.
